About Let’s Do Lattes

Blogging· Family

Welcome to Let’s Do Lattes!

I am Allie, the creator of Let’s Do Lattes.  Let’s do Lattes is a place to empower working moms to keep the job they love while feeling successful as a mom.

I have been there and have learned what works best to balance it all. Working for what is considered to be one of the top ten companies for working moms, you would think life would be easy! The truth is I still have struggles and deal with guilt and shame. To deal with this, I researched and tried different productivity and time management tricks and I have also read several personal development books that have helped me get to where I am now. I am determined to Have It All. There is no reason that I can’t, I am strong, driven, determined and capable, and so are you! You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t want more and know that you are capable of it! You can go here to read more About Me!

So many people support being a stay-at-home mom or a work-at-home mom. It is hard to find resources that support out of the home working moms. The more I researched the more I found ways to get out of my current job, not help me succeed. They didn’t provide moms the guidance they need to work a job they have and pursue their career, while still being a successful mom and wife. The struggles for out-of-the-home working moms are real. This does not mean you have to quit your job.

I know what it takes to juggle all these demands and not feel guilty or shameful of it.  We are indirectly shamed all the time by family, co-workers and friends. This is not necessarily on purpose; most of them DO have the best intentions. We need to find a way to deal with this until, society as a whole has a shift.

My goal for Let’s do Lattes is to help the moms that feel like they are capable of so much more and have that nagging feeling to do more, but they are currently struggling to keep their head above water with the mundane day-to-day tasks. I want to let you know you CAN do it with the right habits and tools! You can have and love your day job, love your children and spouse, spend quality time with them and still find time to take care of yourself!

Here at Let’s do Lattes I have built a resource where working moms can come and find help in any situation.  We have a community of women that can help support you and remind you it is possible- even when you feel like it is not. Please browse around and see what you find. Sometimes we don’t know what we are looking for until we stumble upon it.  Check out my tips for setting Personal Goals here.
